Non-traditional production workers have
the same rights as any other production worker.
In general, these rights include
the following:
The right to minimum
wage and overtime compensation
The right to employee benefits
like pension and stock options
The right to work for
a competitor
The right to full commissions
without chargebacks
The right to reimbursement
of expenses
The right to be paid promptly
without any rebates or deductions and according to an agreed
rate not subject to modification after performance
The right to organize
into an association of workers
The right to discuss pay with
anyone they wish
The right to a final
paycheck within 72 hours of leaving a job
The right to be an employee
rather than an independent contractor*
